Scope and Contents

The collection contains research materials compiled or created by Robert Perske while he was preparing his 1995 publication, Deadly Innocence ? Additional materials include documentation of the 2007 installation of a stone burial marker at Arridy's grave and the 2011 pardoning of Arridy by the State of Colorado. There is a substantial amount of copied court records along with institutional records, notes, correspondence, and printed materials. These letters, records, and images document the institutionalization, arrest, trial, execution, and posthumous pardoning of Joseph Arridy (1915-1939).
