Biographical / Historical

In the summer of 2014, three new librarries in Pueblo County had their grand openings and became part of the Pueblo City-County Library District. They are located in Greenhorn, on the Mesa, and on the East Side. Each library has a history wall as you enter that depicts the rich history for each library's region. Charlene Garcia Simms, Geneaology and Specal Collections Librarian, and Jeffrey De Herrera, researcher and local historian, were given the assignment to gather photographs that represent the history of Eastside Pueblo to go on the wall along with a historical description of each image and a chronological history. The assignment was very rewarding and enlightening. - Charlene Garcia Simms
